The Preposterously Huge Book of Google Font Combinations

Typeface addicts: REJOICE!

Our latest book, “The Preposterously Huge Book of Google Font Combinations” is now available for download in the BonFX Store. It’s a fully-indexed and clickable PDF that looks amazing on an HD monitor and even more beautiful on an iPad. Pinch and zoom is stunning, and the detail is unparalleled.

The PHBOGFC is nearly 8000 pages, and consists of specific fonts from the Google Font library. The fonts we chose are those that have a complete character set. As anyone that has browsed Google Fonts or any of the other free font repositories we all know and love knows, not all typefaces are created equal. Some are missing important characters for one reason or another. Perhaps a font is designed as a “display” font, with no need for special characters. You want to know that sooner than later when exploring typeface pairings.

Regardless, nothing is more frustrating than looking for and finding a typeface, committing to its personality and style, only to find out after you’ve downloaded, installed, and started using it that you discover it’s missing an “@” symbol. Speaking from experience here!

There is a lot more to know about what the PHBOGFC is, how it was made, why you want it, how it can help you, etc., but it’s too much to cram into this little blog post. Therefore, simply head over to the full description page where you can read all about it and decide if it’s the cure for your font addiction for today 🙂 !
